Assigning CoreSeeds data to a Return Path Platform campaign
The following process takes place in order for seed data to get assigned to a Return Path Platform campaign:
- You send your campaign to the Return Path Seed List, which includes your four unique reference seeds.
- Return Path looks for a Matching ID within the header or body of the message received by a reference seed. If you used a Matching ID and our system found it, then it is recorded and added to the internal Matching ID list mentioned above.
- If Return Path Platform cannot match a campaign to a Matching ID within CoreSeeds data, it looks for a body hash for the campaign. That is, Return Path Platform translates a given email into a string of characters unique to that email campaign and then looks for the same string from other emails.
- The matching seed data is assigned to the campaign and displayed in Return Path Platform with inbox placement, spam folder placement, and missing results.
Assigning SmartSeeds data to a Return Path Platform campaign
The following process takes place when assigning SmartSeeds data to a campaign in Return Path Platform:
- Whichever method (Matching ID or body hash) is used for matching CoreSeeds data is also used for matching SmartSeeds data for a given email campaign .
- When a match is found between a Matching ID or body hash in SmartSeeds data, that data is then assigned to the campaign and displayed in Return Path Platform along with seed data.
- SmartSeeds data is displayed instead of CoreSeeds data in your inbox placement rate when Return Path Platform finds 30 or more SmartSeeds for a campaign. If Return Path Platform finds fewer than 30 SmartSeeds for a campaign, then CoreSeeds data is displayed.
