Blocklist alerts are part of the Return Path Platform alerting system, along with Inbox Placement alerts and Smart Alerts. This service is designed to let you know when your IPs or domains are listed on industry blocklists, which can impact your deliverability.
You can manage your blocklist alerts under My Account and choose to receive a daily email summary report or a realtime email alert and to have the alerts appear in the Return Path Platform user interface.
To add an IP or domain you own to Return Path Platform for blocklist and reputation monitoring, please contact your Return Path account representative or Return Path Support.
How blocklist alerts work
- The blocklist alerts service checks 29 industry blocklists at a frequency ranging from 3 minutes to 24 hours. You can see how often Return Path Platform checks each blocklist by checking the List Refresh Rate, located on the Blocklist Alerts set up page under My Account.
- If your IP or domain is listed on a blocklist, Return Path Platform displays the blocklist alert in the Blocklist Activity tile, located in the Monitor section of Return Path Platform. The alert is only displayed if you choose to have the alert appear in the user interface, which is configured through My Account.
- From the Blocklist Activity tile, you can get additional information about your active blocklists, when your IP or domain was first listed (displayed in UTC), the time on the blocklist and a link to the blocklist provider to request a delisting.
