What does it mean when a Certified IP address has a security compromise?

Because security is of the highest priority for Return Path and our customers, we make it a point to closely monitor your content, and we work to detect suspicious activity that could affect your sending reputation. One example of suspicious activity is what we call a security compromise.

A security compromise is a term Return Path uses to refer to malicious email content being sent from your server. We consider your Certified IP address to be compromised when we detect it disseminating malicious email content.
