Purpose
This test determines if email was sent to any of the mailbox provider's pristine spam traps as reporting data fed into the Return Path Provider Network. Pristine spam traps are created by mailbox provider's to identify spammers, so email sent to the traps is typically perceived by mailbox providers as spam.
How it works
This test looks at the sending IP address for each message sent to Inbox Monitor and determines if email was sent to any of the partners of the Return Path Provider Network's pristine spam traps in the last seven days. If the same IP address is used across multiple campaigns, this issue will be flagged for each campaign sent to Inbox Monitor.
Results
- Pass: If no pristine spam traps in the Return Path Provider Network receives email from the sending IP address.
- Fail: If one or more pristine spam traps in the Return Path Provider Network receives email from the sending IP address.
