This test checks for the presence of Sender Policy Framework (SPF) authentication in your email header. SPF helps mailbox providers verify your identity and is used to help prevent sender address forgery.
How it works
When a campaign is sent to Inbox Monitor, this test performs an SPF check in real time for all sending IP addresses using the return-path domain found in the header of your message.
This test checks for the SPF status at the time your message was sent. It may not reflect a recent change to your SPF record. If you made a recent change to your SPF record, re-submit the message and check the result again.
- Pass: If a sending IP address is found in the SPF record for your domain
- Neutral: If no SPF record is found for your domain
- Fail: If a sending IP address is not found in the SPF record for your domain
