The Email Client Monitor Pixel captures information that allows you to understand more about your subscribers and their interactions with your email.
The pixel and the data it collects can be used to gain a deeper understanding of your subscribers and how, when, and where they view your email campaigns. This allows you to optimize your sending behavior, analyze subscriber trends, understand which campaigns are resonating the least, and test targeted and segmented campaigns.
Email Client Monitor Pixel
The Email Client Monitor Pixel gives you information about how and when subscribers are viewing your email, and how and where you subscribers are interacting with your email. By default, the Email Client Monitor Pixel collects a standard set of data that includes:
- The platform your subscriber used to open your email:
- Mobile device
- Web Proxy
Note: The Web Proxy platform category only applies to mailbox providers using a web proxy to cache images before they are opened by a subscriber. Due to image caching, we are only able to determine that an email was opened.
- Operating system
- Email client application
- Email dwell time
- Read (8 or more seconds)
- Skimmed (2-7.9 seconds)
- Abandoned (less than 2 seconds)
- State (available only if the subscriber opened the email in the U.S.)
Custom and special tags
Email Client Monitor can also collect information based on your usage of custom and special tags. Custom tags can be used to collect and segment data; special tags can be used to specify the subscriber and campaign.
