What is the click-through rate?

Click-through rate refers to the ratio of unique click-throughs on a link or links within an email to the total number of recipients. It is typically expressed as a percentage.

The click-through rate does not take into account people who came later to a website in response to an email marketing campaign, so it can be used to measure the direct response only.
