Complaint rates in Return Path Platform may be higher than 100% because email recipients do not always complain about an email message on the same day it was sent. Therefore, complaints can lag by a few days and sometimes longer.
A complaint rate that exceeds 100% may also be due to sending volume spikes on an IP address. For example, when an IP address has long periods of zero sending volume punctuated by occasional spikes in volume, complaint counts received in the days that follow still appear in the 30-day total, even after the sending volume has rolled beyond the 30-day total.
